Dive Master Course

The ACUC Divemaster Course is the first mandatory professional level within the ACUC training ladder.

The minimum age is 18 years and you must be already certified, or be certified during the Divemaster Course, as a First Aid Provider and Emergency Oxygen Provider. You must also have a minimum of 80 dives.

HOW LONG DOES THE COURSE TAKE?

The course can be completed within a week, depending on the skill and level of the diver.

WHAT DOES THE COURSE CONSIST OF?

The principal aspects of this course are that students who successfully complete the programme, may act as Director of Immersion1, taking Certified Divers to open water dives as an Immersion Guide. Help training new divers, both in the classroom and in the water, under the supervision of an instructor. Teach some diving courses in which certification is not issued, for example, an Introduction to diving course. Also teach some “DRY” specialties, where no water training is given, provided that the Divemaster has previously obtained an Instructor Certificate for that specific specialty.
